- The combination of mastic with the aluminum top layer provides maximum sound dampening in sheet metal applications.
- Extension and compression of the mastic damping ma terial converts vibratory energy into heat, thus reducing the noise level of the dampened substrate.
- The aluminum top layer maximizes this effect by redi recting any escaping vibratory energy back into the mastic layer.
